Sliding vs Walk-in vs Fitted: Which One Actually Suits Your Home?
| Type | Best For | Space Needed | Access Style | Typical Cyprus Use Case |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sliding Wardrobes | Bedrooms with limited floor space | Minimal clearance | One side at a time | Most apartments and modern bedrooms |
| Walk-in Closets | Larger bedrooms or dedicated rooms | Dedicated space | Full open access | Villas and master suites |
| Fitted (Hinged) | Traditional layouts or full access | Door swing clearance | Full view at once | Hallways, utility rooms, classic bedrooms |
Every project is measured, designed and installed with long-term performance in mind.
What We See Most Often in Cyprus Homes
After measuring hundreds of rooms across the island, certain patterns appear again and again:
◦ Many apartments have slightly uneven walls or ceilings, especially in older buildings in Limassol and Paphos.
◦ Coastal properties need better soft-close systems and more stable panels because of humidity and salt air.
◦ Clients often underestimate how much floor clearance a hinged door needs.
◦ Floor-to-ceiling designs look dramatically better but only work when measuring is precise.
◦ Internal lighting is one of the upgrades people appreciate most after living with the wardrobe for a few months.
We design every project with these real-world Cyprus conditions in mind.
What We Help Clients Get Right From the Start
When planning a custom wardrobe in Cyprus, a few decisions make a significant difference over the long term:
◦ Choosing a quality sliding system, the difference in smoothness and reliability becomes clear after regular daily use.
◦ Accounting for small variations in ceiling height and wall straightness (common in many Cyprus buildings).
◦ Planning the internal layout around how you actually store and use your clothes.
◦ Taking precise professional measurements rather than relying on approximate dimensions.
◦ Selecting finishes and materials that perform well in coastal humidity and heat.
We guide every client through these points during the design stage so the finished wardrobe continues to work well for years.

Wardrobe Prices in Cyprus
The final price of a custom Italian wardrobe depends on width, height, door type, internal fittings and chosen finishes.
Because we work directly with the manufacturers in Italy, several layers of importer and distributor margins are removed. Every wardrobe is made to order, so you are not paying for warehouse stock or outdated ranges.

How We Design Wardrobes That Work Long-Term in Cyprus
After measuring and installing wardrobes across Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca and Nicosia for several years, we have learned which details actually matter over time:
◦ We always measure floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall ourselves. Many older buildings (especially in coastal areas) have slight variations that only become visible once the wardrobe is installed.
◦ We prioritise soft-close mechanisms and higher-grade tracks on sliding systems. In Cyprus humidity and daily use, cheaper systems often start to feel less smooth after 18–24 months.
◦ Panel stability and finish quality are especially important in coastal homes. We select materials and constructions that handle heat, humidity and salt air better than standard options.
◦ Internal layouts are planned around how the client actually stores clothes — not just how the wardrobe looks in a catalogue photo.
◦ We design for the real architecture of the room (beams, air-conditioning units, uneven walls, door swings) so the final result feels built into the space rather than simply placed against the wall.
Every wardrobe we supply is measured, designed and installed with these long-term Cyprus conditions in mind.
Important Things to Know About Wardrobes in Cyprus
◦ Coastal areas (especially Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca) place higher demands on furniture than inland locations. Soft-close mechanisms and panel stability are particularly important in humid and salt-air environments.
◦ Full-height (floor-to-ceiling) wardrobes create a cleaner look and offer more storage, provided the measuring and installation are precise.
◦ Internal lighting is one of the upgrades clients appreciate most in daily use.
◦ The long-term performance of a sliding system becomes clear after regular use over 18–24 months. Quality of the track, rollers and soft-close system makes a noticeable difference.
We take these factors into account during design and material selection for every project.
Our Design Philosophy for Cyprus Homes
We design every wardrobe around three practical factors:
1. How you actually dress and store clothes
2. The exact architecture of your room (ceiling height, uneven walls, beams, air-con units)
3. The Mediterranean climate (heat, humidity, strong light)
This is why almost every project we complete is slightly different — even when clients start with the same door type.
What Happens After Installation
A wardrobe is only successful if it continues to work well years later.
Because we install with our own local team, aftercare is handled directly by us — not a distant call centre or third-party installer. This includes:
◦ Soft-close adjustments
◦ Minor alignment if the building settles
◦ Replacement of internal fittings if needed
◦ Practical advice on long-term care in coastal environments
Because we install with our own team and stay local, aftercare is handled directly by us, not a distant call centre or third-party installer.
