Loft Bed Safety

Loft and high sleep platforms in Europe are assessed under standards such as EN 747. We only specify configurations suitable for the child’s age and the room. Raised beds are not appropriate for very young children; follow manufacturer age guidance (commonly not under 6 for high sleep platforms).

We discuss guard rails, ladder type and fixing to the wall at design stage. Ask us for the manufacturer’s safety documentation for your chosen set.

Will a loft bed fit my room?

You need enough ceiling height above the upper mattress, clear ladder space and a safe landing zone. Footprint varies by set. Share your room height and a simple plan — we will confirm whether a loft or overhead-storage layout works before you order.

A bedroom that grows with your child

Many Siloma compositions can evolve: add a desk, change storage, or move toward a teen layout later. Plan the long-term layout at the start so panels and modules stay useful as your child grows.

Materials and finishes

Panel finishes, colours and optional textiles are chosen for real children’s rooms. We advise on practical surfaces for homework, play and coastal homes. Emissions class and technical data are confirmed from the manufacturer when you specify the set.

Shared rooms

Two-child layouts are common in Cyprus apartments. We plan sleeping, storage and study zones so the room stays usable for both children.

Kids Beds FAQs
