Storage beds and ottoman beds
A storage bed (often called an ottoman bed in the UK) lifts the base and mattress on gas struts so you can use the space under the full footprint. Access is usually from the end or the side depending on the model.
We specify storage depth, lift direction and practical weight guidance from the manufacturer for each storage model. Ideal for apartments, guest rooms and anyone who needs hidden storage without a full wardrobe wall.
Storage Bed vs Drawers vs Standard Frame
| Type | Storage | Access | Floor cleaning | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lift-up / ottoman | Large, under full base | Lift mattress base | Clear when open | Max storage |
| Drawers under bed | Moderate | Pull drawers | Partial | Frequent small items |
| Standard frame | None under mattress | — | Easy under bed | Simple rooms, spare rooms |
Choosing a modern bed for your room
Match mattress size to room width and leave space to walk and open wardrobes. Check headboard height against windowsills and sockets. For lift-up storage beds, allow clear space on the side or end that opens. We confirm measurements at site measure or showroom consultation.
Finishes and fabrics
Cinquepuntozero modern beds can be specified in fabrics and selected finishes from the collection ranges. Final cover and finish are chosen when you order. Visit the Paphos showroom to compare samples in person.
